Background Location Permission Review and Client Distribution Guide Preparation Role

Loplat SDK - 2020.7 - 2020.9 (3months)

Because of Google Play’s review for background location access, client apps using the Loplat SDK need guidance on how to pass the review smoothly. It is crucial for developers to clearly explain the purpose and necessity of accessing location data in the background, ensuring compliance with Google Play’s policies. Providing detailed instructions and best practices can help prevent app rejections and streamline the approval process.

Background

There are cases where apps that do not require location information obtain users’ locations improperly (spyware), or even when location data is needed for the service, the app collects it without properly notifying the user. To prevent this, apps that continuously access location information are required to undergo the ‘Location Permission – Always Allow’ review.

  • Authored client distribution documentation (100%)
  • Identified and resolved causes of review rejections — resubmitted 8 times (100%)
  • Supported clients during their review and approval processes (100%)
